Cheap cheap

I looked hot for my interview with Silvia Venturini Fendi today. How do I know this? Well the guy who walked past me on the pavement and whispered ammar (moon) close to my ear, started giving it away. Then the waiter who told me I didn't need to turn on the light in the bathroom because I was like a light myself, was more telling. But the one that took the cake was the guy on the autobus with me, who, when he got off, took a sneaky photo of my legs!
Yes, I dressed up for Silvia Venturini Fendi. That's the same Ms Fendi who's in charge of the Fendi accessories we see in those expensive stores. The same Ms Fendi who works alongside Karl Lagerfeld. My 'dressing up' meant donning a R100 Mr Price dress and Tokyo market-bought handbag. During the interview in the double-F logo store, we sat surrounded by R7 000 handbags with names like Peekaboo, Cinderella and Firenze. I dared not ask her what her thoughts about me were when she mentioned how a handbag says so much about a person. Maybe mine says I like travelling to far places to buy cheap things. Maybe it says I am cheap. It seems photo-taker thought the same thing!
