Saturday's beach excursion took us south of Beirut, to Lazy B in Jiyeh (www.lazyb.me). Besides booking it in my mind's wedding folder under the 'dream venues' category, I'm calling it 'the most fabulously decorated beach I've ever been too'. 'Decorated beach?' you ask. Absolutely! When you pay $20 to get in, the least they can do is doll it up with some hammocks, reed-roofed chill-out spots, colourful deck chairs, an open-air lounge area furnished with beds and even a mini library. Seven hours in the sun couldn't have been better spent. And then the sun began to dip, the candles were lit, and the bride made her entrance...
Beach bum wedding dreams are made of this.
